Official's badge for 1962 Perth Commonwealth Games, worn by Shirley Strickland

Small circular metal badge, gold with enamelled border. Writing along outer rim reads, "BRITISH EMPIRE & COMMONWEALTH GAMES / PERTH- WESTERN AUSTRALIA- 1962". A debossed image of a crown, partly highlighted with red enamel, occupies the centre. A yellow ribbon is attached to the lower edge of the badge, has "OFFICIAL" printed on it in black ink.
