One photograph of a steeplejack suspended on a church steeple completing repairs. Caption on back reads: 'Chigwell Parish Church, Essex, which Charles Dickens often visited and wrote about, was threatened with the Death Watch Beetle. A steeplejack discovered the pest when he went aloft to take down the weathervane for regilding. The woodwork under the spire is now being attended to and the affected parts renewed'. Includes crop marks.
