For architect Alejandro Aravena, creativity needs to be employed in instances where there is not enough knowledge but where changes needs to happen. He tells about low-cost housing projects where a half of the house is well built, while the improvement of the other half becomes the responsibility of the community. Aravena also talks about urbanisation and cities as a shortcut to equality.
Alejandro Aravena is the principal of Alejandro Aravena Architects and the executive director of Elemental, a do-tank focusing on projects of social impact.
