This photograph depicts one of the sons of Mr. Edgar Jones, an F.S.A. client in Woodville, Ga. He worked at the Civilian Conservation Corp camp. It was taken for Farm Security Administration in Greene County, Ga. between 1940 and 1941. The photographer was Jack Delano. Arthur Franklin Raper, the creator of the collection in which this photograph appears, was interested in rural poverty in the depression era south.
