According to a handwritten text in Russian at the bottom left of this table, this image represents the icon of the Virgin of Ajtirka -which appeared in 1739 on July 2nd-. According to legend, the parish priest of the town of that name, while mowing grass around the church found the original of this icon, highly prized in Russia due to its many miracles.
