Our Lady of Rosário

This representation known as Our Lady of Rosário has natural embodiment in the faces, hands and feet; drapery and expression including the delicacy of the hands, movement of the right arm of the Virgin, and the tenderness in Her face, match this rare piece of 1500s Portuguese jewellery with the most representative phase of its evolution: the sensitive resonance of 16th century images as a point of satisfaction for all its serene and slim posture.
His attribute, the Rosário is of baroque pearls. It also features three angels and half-moon, allegory to Our Lady of Conception, embossed on the pedestal.
Both are crowned and the crowns are in silver and in relation to the Virgin, with a huge crown with jewels: rubies, emeralds and diamonds.
The rectangular pedestal is also in carved silver with angel at the front and decorated with vegetal motifs.
This piece is classified as Portuguese National Heritage.
