These fragments belonged to the altarpiece in the church of Santa Giuliana in Vigo di Fassa, one of the largest in Trentino. In 1966, following a burglary, the chest was stripped of the surviving movable elements: the Lady of Sorrows was transferred to the Diocesan Museum, while the statues of Saints Juliana and Margaret were moved to Castello del Buonconsiglio.
The weekday side of the doors depicts a few episodes of the Passion of Christ (Jesus in the garden of olives, Crowning with thorns, Flagellation, Falling on the Calvary). The feast day side depicts eight saints: Erasmus and Vitus, Catherine and Lucy, Stephen and Laurence, Agnes and Ursula.
