Image headed by number IX of the manuscript "Memories of the Peruvian monarchy or Sketch of the history of the Incas", written by Justo Sahuaraura (Cusco, 1775 - Canas, ca. 1853), descendant of the Incas Huayna Cápac and Pachacútec, and of vocation for the libertarian cause. Inspired by the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, the work narrates from a personal point of view, an account of the genealogy of the Incas, among other issues around Independence.
The character inside the medallion represents the Inca Pachacútec surrounded by a laurel wreath. In the lower part and on the back of the portrait, there is a brief historical description of the Inca and his descendants.
