Painting concert hall

Gioacchino Martorana1764

Palazzo Asmundo

Palazzo Asmundo
Palermo, Italy

In the first hall at the entrance (Concert hall) is frescoed
the exaltation of the virtues related to the pre-eminent one of justice.
The figures of the Fortress, of Temperance, are represented symbolically.
of Prudence, Truth and Mansuetudine with their attributes
characterized by sword, scale, clock, mirror, lamp, lion and lamb,
that unmask the deception and reveal the truth, removing the mask from the light
of the torches of reason and leading back to the concept
transcendent and transcendental of justice.
