Welsh Primitive was more than likely a person from the Aberystwyth locality working between ca. 1830 and 1853. This painting of Taliesin, between the towns of Aberystwyth and Machynlleth, is one of a collection of works depicting everyday life in rural Wales during the nineteenth century.
