Panmunjeom

Panmunjeom, which is also called Neolmulli, is located on National Road No. 1 which connects Munsan with Gaeseong. As the Armistice Conference was held at Panmunjeom, it is a symbolic site of Korea’s division. It is situated about 50 kilometers north of Seoul along the Tongil Road, about 8 kilometers east of Gaeseong, and 5 kilometers south of the 38th parallel north.
