Chryselephantine by the Italian artist Eduardo Rossi (1867-1926). Made of gilt-patinated bronze, ivory, and onyx. This piece depicts the elegance of a dancer's pose during a performance, a movement captured with great realism. She wears a headdress made of peacock feathers. The peacock and its plumage represented vanity and became the favorite bird of the Art Nouveau movement.
