In 2005, Belgian designer Raf Simons was appointed artistic director at the house of Jil Sander. During his seven-year tenure, Simons created modern womenswear and refined a new image of luxurious minimalism, for which he was lauded internationally and gained critical acclaim. This key silhouette, a clean white T-shirt tucked in the orange skirt with double flounce in the waist and short train, unites both elements from classical eveningwear with the ultimate, sportive basic.
