  • Provenance: Formerly owned by Colin Berckelman (1907-1965). Berckelman was a passionate collector of books, manuscripts and bookplates. He was an active member of the Society of Australian Genealogists, the Royal Australian Historical Society, and a founding member of the Book Collectors' Society of Australia. Following Berckelman's death, his collection was purchased by the Library in 1966/67. Most of the collection was dispersed throughout the University's libraries but the rare and significant works, manuscripts, personal archive, photographs, printing blocks, and his collection of bookplates remain in Rare Books and Special Collections.
