Perspective Arcade was a gift of the Junior League of Toledo in 1982, commissioned by The Arts Commission to add to the City of Toledo's Percent For Art Collection. It was the first sculpture commission between The Arts Commision and artist Athena Tacha, who would later create Swan Waves in Boeschenstein Park. The sculpture is one in a series in Tacha's practice that explore twisting forms cut from single sheets of metal, including "Tension Arches"in Cleveland, OH and "Curving Arcades" in Tucson, AZ.
