Perspective view of the city of Trento

In this engraving the city of Trento is viewed from the West, set within a heavily farmed Alpine landscape, bordered to the North by the Adige River and surrounded on the other three sides by the city’s walls. Within the urban fabric stand out the monuments that are symbols of the religious and civil power pf the principate: the Cathedral and the Castello del Buonconsiglio.
