Perth Scorchers Women and WBBL01 arrive

A watershed moment in women's cricket in Australia with the launch of the inaugural WBBL01 season and the Perth Scorchers Women cricket team. The team included three overseas players Suzie Bates (New Zealand) and Charlotte Edwards (England) returned and Katherine Brunt (England) who led the bowling attack. The Perth Scorchers progressed to the Semi-Final played on 21 January 2016 against Sydney Thunder at Adelaide Oval but were defeated by eight runs.
