The Happy Workers Day Nursery was founded in 1929, in St. Petersburg, Florida, as a day care center for underprivileged youth in urban St. Petersburg. The school was an inexpensive but safe and happy place for children to spend the day, while their parents or caregivers went to work. A press photo from around 1970 shows children playing a jumping game outside, near the establishment, while parents and adults look on. In 2020, the center still exists, under new management.
