José María Eguren (Lima, 1874-1942) lived most of his life in the district of Barranco, in the city of Lima, which is located near the sea. Both, his photographs and paintings, are related with marine motifs, coastal landscapes with and without people, as well as docks and various marine means of transport such as the photographed frigate and sailboat.
