Historical black and white photograph of Hale Keliiponi / Coronation Pavilion with amphitheater in front of Iolani Palace constructed for the coronation ceremony of King Kalakaua and Queen Kapiolani on February 12, 1883. Garlands of greenery, Hawaiian flags and decorative wooden vases adorn the scene. In the arches under the roof and on the pillars are shields with the coat of arms of Hawaii and seven of Hawaii's allied nations.
