Mercedes Cabello Llona de Carbonera (Moquegua, 1842-Lima, 1909) was a Peruvian writer and intellectual, representative of Peruvian female essayism. She wrote on various topics, including feminist themes, writing and literature, and philosophical reflection, publishing in different media, and in some cases signing under a pseudonym. She advocated for equality between women and men and for the education of women. She also published poetry and novels in Lima and abroad.
