Photographic lobby card for the Hindi film 'Payal Ki Jhankar', released in the year 1968.
The frame shows a scene in the open, with the character Shyam (Kishore Kumar) teaching Pammi (Jyoti Laxmi) to paint on a canvas set on the easel. In a tight composition that shows almost half the bodies of the actors along with the top half of the painting easel and the canvas, Kishore Kumar stands right behind Jyoti Laxmi, dressed in a hat, muffler and a track-suit set. Looking happily down at the canvas, he is helping Jyoti Laxmi hold the brush with one hand and holding the color palette with the other. Jyoti Laxmi is wearing a sari with a sleeveless blouse and jewellery on her ears and neck. She is also shown holding the same brush as Kishore Kumar, aimed at the canvas.
Right under the photograph is text in the following order- first comes 'Filmistan's', right under it is the name of the movie 'Payal Ki Jhankar' (English). Next to these, almost in the center of the composition is 'In Eastman Colour' with some illustration around. On its right is 'DIRECTION' and 'M.V. RAMAN' under it. Right below is 'MUSIC' and 'C. RAMCHANDRA'.
