The image shows a lead woman dancer (possibly Dancer Chandrawli) and many other women dancers behind her. The lead dancer is in a position with her right leg bent from the knee to the side, while her left leg is straight. Her body is also bent to the right, her left arm is raised above her head and her right arm is bent so that her hand reaches her shoulder. Her fingers on both hands are spread is gestural poses. In the background are two rows of dancers who are all in a pose with one hand over the head and the other straight out.
Below the image on the border, also pasted on the card is a label with text that reads ' PRESENT' followed by 'ROOP BASANT' (in English, Devanagari and in Urdu from top to bottom).
