Photographic lobby still for the film 'Laila', released in the year 1954.
The image shows Shakila (unidentified character) and Daljeet (unidentified character) holding hands. Shakila is standing up with one hand tucked in her neck and another stretched out to Daljeet. Her body, however, faces away from him and her gaze seems to be aimed above him.
On the right is Daljeet who is at a lower height than her (possibly due to a step or the terrain. it is unclear to say why due to the way the image is cropped). He has one hand stretched out towards Shakila and is looking up at her with a smile on his face. The are some rocks right behind him. In the background we see walls of the building they are in against the open night sky with a full moon shining bright.
In the bottom right corner there is text that reads (from left to right) 'SHAH Pictures PRESENT', 'Laila' (in Devanagari), 'PRODUCED By RAMNIKLAL N. SHAH', followed by 'Laila' (in Urdu and in English), and 'SHAKILA DILJEET HIRALAL & DURGA KHOTE' (the cast), 'DIRECTED BY NASEEM SIDDIQUI'.
