Photograph by Xavier Abril de Vivero (Lima, 1905 - Montevideo, 1990). The image is part of the album of photographic miniatures by José María Eguren, in the funds of the National Library of Peru.
Abril was a Peruvian poet, translator, essayist, and literary critic. He was considered one of the introducers of the surrealist movement in Peru, publishing books such as "Hollywood" (1931) and "Difficult Work" (1935). He carried out lucid literary criticism and collaborated in the magazine "Amauta", among others.
