Picture postcard of fishing farm 'Groote Gat'

On this picture postcard the homestead and fishing farm 'Groote Gat' can be seen. This was located on a creek along the Fortstraat, southeast of the village of Doel. The farm disappeared in the 1970s as a result of industrial development on the left bank of the Scheldt. Note that the Fortstraat, as a connection between the village of Doel and Fort Liefkenshoek, is a cobbled street.
