Argaric society

The die of the society of El Argar was based on agricultural products, its main component being barley. In the climax of the development of El Argar, barley amounted to between 90 and 95 per cent of the cultivated seeds. The large-sacale storage of grain in the central settlements was a real “ bank “ of food, upon which depended the population of a wide territory.
