Plac Powstańców Warszawy (then called Plac Napoleona), 1945. The houses on the west side of Plac Napoleonawere never reconstructed. They were replaced in the early 1950s by the 157 metre-long socialist-realist building of the Ministry of Domestic Commerce, with a span facing Sienkiewicza Street.
