Plaque in Honour of Sir Emmanuel Charles Quist

Plaque was erected by his wife and bears inscriptions in recognition of his pioneering role as the first African Crown Counsel, first African President of the Legislative Council and first Speaker of the Legislative and National Assembly of the Gold Coast, during the colonial period of British rule.
