Platanian Dialog, by Olga Kisseleva for Forest Embassy, Centre of Contemporary Art, Evora, Portugal.
This urban plane tree (Platanus Hispanica) and the garden in Madrid that houses it are UNESCO world Heritage sites. Plane trees' resistance to pollution helps regulate climate.
Olga Kisseleva connects this Platanus Hispanica in Madrid to the Plane tree conserved in the National Museum of Modern Art in Poland, creating a new kind of organic network based on vegetal medium.
These Plane trees are also related to the Mugumo tree, a sacred Gikuju tree, participnt of the "Listening to the Rift Valley" project of EAMAN.
