Hexagonal plate with moulded rim, decorated with embossed fruits. In the bowl of the plate, the coats of arms of Chancellor of Transylvania Mihály Teleki and his wife, Judit Vér. Circumscription on Teleki’s coat of arms: MICHAEL TELEKI CELSissimi PRinceps TRANssilvaniaE INTimi CONsiliarii COMitis (Comitatum) MARAmaros ET THORda SVPremi CO(apitanei? ARCIVM HVSZT ET KOEvar DISTRICtusQue EIVS SVPremi CAPItanei. Teleki used to be the secret counsellor of Transylvanian ruler Mihály Apafi; Lord Lieutenant of the counties of Máramaros and Torda; Captain of Huszt and Kővár. All this made him one of the most influential Transylvanian politicians of his time and also one of the richest lords of the region. Based on the titles on the circumscription, the plate was manufactured between 1669 and 1686.
