Pocket watch. Classicism. England

This is a pocket watch featuring a white and yellow
metal body with a tab and a silver chain attached. The white enamel clock face
with hour markings in Roman numerals (I-XII) and minute sections is covered
with glass. Near the 12 o’clock position is the caption: “TOBIAS  LONDON” and beneath it, the numbers: “39922”.
Near the 6 o’clock position is the second dial. The hour and minute hands are
decorated with openwork, while the second hand is smooth and straight. The dial
can be covered with a lid, the exterior of which is decorated with a coloured
enamel picture depicting a woman standing. The picture is framed with floral
ornaments made using the Cloisonné enamel technique and
engraving.
