Pocket watch with chatelaine

This watch was not hidden in a pocket, but instead worn prominently on the wearers’ clothes, suspended from a special watch chain called chatelaine. Ideally, the watch case and the chatelaine were meticulously harmonized with each other in terms of decorative elements, motifs and ornamentation.
