One of Wojaczek’s early prose attempts. “Sanatorium” developed into the prose poem and was published posthumously in “Utwory zebrane” [“Collected Works”] (1976). Its protagonist, the poet and alcoholic Piotr Sobecki, is treated as the author’s alter ego. The place of the action is Wrocław, as evidenced by many details referring to places and people. The manuscript is part of Rafał Wojaczek’s collection.
