Cover of the magazine Monos y monadas, edition 21. This was a political humor magazine, founded by Leónidas Yerovi (Lima, 1881 - 1917) and Julio Málaga Grenet (Arequipa, 1886 - Lima, 1963), where caricatures of the latter and Abraham Valdelomar (Ica, 1888 - Ayacucho, 1919) were reproduced. The magazine operated for two years, between 1905 and 1907, and through its pages the events of Lima society were reported, as well as facts of national politics, with special criticism of the Civil Party.
In particular, in the caricature on the cover made by Málaga Grenet, there is a man who represents authority and, next to him, a character possibly of Chinese origin.
