Portrait of a Lady, formerly recorded as Portrait of the Princess Anne

The portrait seen here is characteristic of Netscher and his studio. The subject is depicted in full length, although not life-size. Like many of the works of Caspar Netscher the drapery and the rich details on the sitter's clothing provide a particularly prominent feature. Her dress is a heavy brocade in sumptuous colors. There is a stringed musical instrument to her right and a musical score. Behind her is a garden with an ornamental statue.
