Friedrich Miess painted a portrait of his aunt, Frieda Teutsch, after a photograph by Carl Muschalek (Frieda's brother-in-law). The portrait depicts the model in traditional Saxon dress. Frieda Teutsch is wearing around her waist a valuable Gliedergürtel, made up of articulated pieces and two rectangular paftale of gilded silver, decorated with beadwork, precious stones, beads and polychrome enamel. The blue flowered silk bodice is fastened in silver gilt clasps worked in filigree and covered with polychrome enamel. The large gold necklace adorned with three gemstone pendants in colors complementary to the stones of the girdle form together a seal. Her head is covered with a veil and bands embroidered with gold thread, fastened in the hair with gilded silver pins, adorned with flowers made of multicolored gemstones.
