Portrait of Ferenc Liszt (1811–1886)

The all over the world celebrated virtuoso pianist was painted during his second journey to Pest by the famous Hungarian biedermeier painter, Miklós Barabás. The representative artist portrait was ordered by Picture Gallery Association to the Hungarian National Museum. Liszt is wearing a traditional Hungarian dress, a black velour dolmány with red studs.
