This full-length portrait shows Franz I Stephan standing by a table. With his right hand he gestures towards a group of figures in the background, one of which is an allegorical representation of Justice holding a pair of scales. Maria Theresa commissioned the work from Batoni when she had this room remodelled as a memorial room after the death of her husband.
