Portrait of Gim Seok-ju

This portrait shows Gim Seok-ju (1634-1684), one of Gim Yuk's grandsons and a son of Gim Jwa-myeong (1616~1671), who served as Minister of Military Affairs (Byeongjo Panseo). Gim Yuk was conferred the honorary title of Cheongseong Buwongun by King Sukjong, and served the Joseon Dynasty in many important government positions including that of Third State Councilor (Uuijeong).
