Portrait of Luigi Abbondio Ferrario

Luigi Abbondio Ferrario (1776-1859), wealthy, employed as administrator and cashier in Milanese banks, bountiful and generous with the poor, already benefits the Maggiore Hospital, which then appoints its own universal heir. The Hospital of his own initiative decides, on the death of the benefactor, to pay an annuity to the elderly sister who had always lived with him.
