Luigi Franzosi (1858-1930), the son of a shoemaker, practices his father's trade first in his native town Romanengo (Cremona) and then in Milan; marries the concierge of a building in via Zecca Vecchia: with a sense of initiative, he opens with his wife's help, a trattoria, a wine store and finally the liquor store, which soon becomes a successful and profitable business.
