Luigi Maccia (1824-1895), left an orphan of both parents at a young age. Despite interrupting his studies to take on the burden of maintaining brothers and sisters, he manages to establish himself in the work and to obtain, thanks to his intelligence and ability, roles of great prestige: he is president of the Chamber of Commerce, Councilor of the Bank of Italy, director of the company Mutuo Soccorso of agents and business travelers; he was appointed Commander of the Crown of Italy and a Knight of the Legion of Honor.
