Portrait of Mariya Muzychuk, the 15th Women's World Chess Champion

Mariya Muzychuk (born in 1992) is a Ukrainian chess grandmaster who was the Women’s World Chess Champion from 2015 to 2016. She has won the Ukrainian Women’s Chess Championship twice and has been a key player in Ukraine’s national team, contributing to their successes in the Chess Olympiads and European Team Chess Championships.
