A bust of a middle-aged man with a high forehead, a receding hairline framed by short curly hair, slightly shifted brows, a suspicious gaze of deep-set narrowed eyes, a long nose, sharply expressed nasolabial folds, tightly pressed narrow lips, full smoothly shaved cheeks, a small round chin. A part of the robe is covering his shoulders, the chest is bare. Nikolai Pavlovich Yerugin (May 14, 1907 – February 12, 1990) was a Soviet mathematician, an organizer (together with V.I. Krylov) and the first director of the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus. A Doctor of physico-mathematical sciences (1943), a professor (1944). Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR (1956). Honored Worker of Science of the BSSR (1967). Hero of Socialist Labor (1969). Participient of II World War.
