Portrait of Xu Yuhua, the 11th Women's World Chess Champion

Xu Yuhua (born in 1976) is a Chinese chess grandmaster who held the title of Women’s World Champion from 2006 to 2008. She was the third Chinese woman to achieve this honor, following Xie Jun and Zhu Chen. Subsequent Chinese Women’s World Champions include Hou Yifan, Tan Zhongyi, and Ju Wenjun.
