Post card: 'Fountain in Grant Park. Atlanta, Ga.' Grant Park was a popular leisure spot for Atlantans of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The park boasted a long slender lake popular for boating, a Victorian boathouse, a pavilion, and a concession building. In 1889, donated animals from a failed circus formed the city's first Municipal Zoo.
