The church of St John the Baptist in Tideswell is commonly known as ‘The Cathedral of the Peak’ because of its large size and magnificent architecture. Built between c1340 and c1400, with only sympathetic restoration since then, it remains a fine example of fourteenth century Gothic architecture.

Tideswell is a village in the Peak District, Derbyshire.
