The Second Clifton Hotel was built in 1906 and featured 270 rooms. Advertisements for the establishment boasted that it "had no superior in the world” due to its luxurious amenities. The Second Clifton Hotel, like its predecessor, would succumb to a spectacular fire in the early hours of December 31, 1932.
