This novel exhibition brings together not only Paris pieces but also a number of outfits made in his three Spanish houses, never before exhibited in France. Masterful cut, sense of colour, theatricality, meticulous work. With almost 75 outfits, accessories, photographs and atelier sketches, the exhibition unveils the key characteristics of the art of the couturier, acclaimed as of his very first Paris collection in 1937. It also shines a light on the use of lace in haute couture between the 1940s and 1960s.
